samsung-galaxy-s5-review-001If you remember the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A, that was a model of the Samsung flagship smartphone back then which was released especially for the South Korean market, although it happened a few months after the Galaxy S5 made a debut worldwide. This particular model came with a beefier Snapdragon 805 chipset as well as speedier LTE connectivity, which are twin aspects of a smartphone that many would look forward to. Basically, the G906 (LTE-A) model remained as an exclusive to South Korea, whereas the G901 (Plus) was introduced to Europe and Singapore markets. It looks like folks who are still rocking to one of these two handsets will now be able to enjoy some Android Marshmallow goodness.

Owners of these handsets have reported receiving the Android Marshmallow update notification, and so far, it does not seem as though there has been any issue whatsoever with the installation process, bringing your aged handset (it is two generations old, after all) the latest that all Marshmallow-powered devices are able to enjoy at the moment.

One thing is for sure – having your smartphone run on one of the newer iterations of its mobile operating system would certainly breathe new life into the device, not to mention extend its running time for a fair bit before you start mulling over the possibility of an upgrade.
