Alleged Photo Show iPhone 7 With Touch Sensitive Home Button

iphone 7 homeBy all accounts, this year’s iPhone 7 is expected to be more or less the same as its predecessors, at least as far as its physical appearance is concerned. It is only next year’s iPhone that is expected to be a game changer, with a brand new all-glass enclosure and the removal of the home button, a staple design that iPhone users have come to expect from every model.

However photos obtained by Mobipicker are now suggesting otherwise. According to the photos obtained and published on the website, it shows the front panel of the iPhone 7 with an odd-looking home button. From the photo and from the report, they are claiming that this will be a touch sensitive home button.

This means that users won’t have to press on it to use it, kind of like the soft keys on many Android phones. We are a bit suspicious especially since it does look a little odd, plus there have been no rumors or any indication to suggest that this is the case, and we’ve pretty much heard every iPhone 7 rumor that has come out of the rumor mill since.

That being said, there is a small chance this rumor could be true. iOS 10 was announced the other day and one of the huge changes Apple has made is to the lockscreen, where it is no longer slide to unlock, but press to unlock. Could this have been a sign to hint at the change to the home button? Maybe we’re grabbing at straws, so be sure to take it with a grain of salt for now.
