Sony Schedules IFA 2016 Conference For 1st September

Xperia X Lime Green PIS DesignWhen it comes to smartphones, we’re certainly hearing a lot less noise from Sony these days, but that doesn’t mean that they have given up. In fact just recently several photos have been making their rounds showing off a handset with the model number F833X. So the question is, when will the phone be announced?

Turns out there is a very good chance it will be announced at IFA. IFA is usually a great platform for companies like Sony and Samsung to announce new products, as we have seen in the past, and Sony has recently confirmed their presence by scheduling a press conference for the 1st of September.

While we can’t say with certainty what Sony will launch, the timing of these leaked photos certainly seems to suggest that the company has some new phones in the works. Of course since Sony is more than just about phones, like TVs, cameras, and more, there is a possibility that their IFA conference could touch on other products as well.

However there have been rumors earlier this month that suggests that Sony will unveil at least one handset at IFA, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled. That being said, we should note that Sony has recently stated that they will be focusing less on the US markets, so what we see at IFA might not necessarily make its way stateside.
