iPhone 7’s AnTuTu Scores Blow The Competition Away

iphone-7-plus-size-BOver the years, Apple hasn’t really followed in the footsteps of Android OEMs in terms of adopting the latest and greatest technology. For example while many Android phones were packing 2-3GB of RAM, Apple was still sticking with 1GB. Also in a time when some chipsets are of the octa and deca-core variety, Apple was still sticking with dual-core setups.

However that changed with the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in which Apple introduced the A10 Fusion chipset which is actually a quad-core chipset. That’s quite a leap over the A9 which is of the dual-core variety, and it definitely shows in its performance. According to a recent sighting on AnTuTu benchmarks, it seems that the iPhone 7 and its A10 Fusion chipset has managed to blow the competition away.

The phone managed to score 178,397 points which is a third more than the iPhone 6s, and it also manages to beat out pretty much all of the top 10 handsets for the month of August, which according to AnTuTu had the OnePlus 3 sitting at the top with a score of 140,288. The list does not include the Galaxy Note 7 so we’re not sure how the Note 7 would fare against the iPhone 7, but for now it looks like the iPhone 7 is in the lead.

Of course at the end of the day whether or not you will be able to tell or need such a high-performing chipset really depends on your needs, and as always, performance on paper versus real-world usage is very different so that’s something to take note of.
