Microsoft Has No More Lumia 950 XL Replacement Units In The UK

Lumia_950XL_1With Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile’s market share being so tiny, it’s really quite hard to imagine what Microsoft can do to help increase their market share. So far the company has attempted to released various Lumia handsets with varying specs and features, but safe to say that they haven’t really had much of an impact.

Now last week there was a rumor suggesting that Microsoft could be thinking of ending the sales of its Lumia devices in December, and while it remains to be seen if those rumors will come true, a report from Winbeta has revealed some potential evidence that Microsoft could indeed go through with this plan.

According to the report, apparently Microsoft has no more warranty replacement units for the Lumia 950 XL in the UK. What this means is that if your Lumia 950 XL is damaged, you won’t be able to get a replacement unit while it is under warranty. Note that this is only for the Lumia 950 XL and it is only in the UK.

However it could suggest that Microsoft UK has depleted their stock and if there are no more units, it could also mean that Microsoft isn’t planning on producing more handsets, thus corroborating the rumors that we have heard. Of course this isn’t the end of Microsoft’s mobile plans as there is still the rumored Surface Phone which could arrive in 2017 or maybe in 2018, but until then we’ll just have to wait and see.
