It was recently reported that players will require 130GB of free storage on their hard drive in order to install and play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Given that this was speculation at that time many might not have chosen to believe it, but there’s no escaping it now. Activision has confirmed that 130GB of free hard disk space will be required to play these games.

The base models of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One come with just 500GB of storage. When you account for system files and other games, you may not have enough space to install the games so you may be forced to delete some of them in order to make space.

Activision has updated the FAQ page for both games to confirm that 130GB of free hard drive space is indeed required to install and play these games. It says that this is a “high-end estimate” of the space these games will require, which means it includes the games, day one patches as well as the remaining Modern Warfare remastered maps which will be released before the end of this year.

What this simply means is that on launch day the file size is going to be less than 130GB but it’s certainly going to go up there soon after that. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered will be released on November 4th, 2016.
