T-Mobile One Ups Verizon On Google Pixel With $325 In Bill Credits

Many might not have seen the logic in Google making the Pixel smartphones exclusive to Verizon in the United States but if there’s one thing that T-Mobile likes to do is one up the competition. The carrier’s CEO teased yesterday that Magenta will soon reveal some “BIG news” about the Pixel and we now know what that is. T-Mobile is going to give $325 in bill credits to any and all Google Pixel customers who buy the handset unlocked and move to Magenta. So basically, it’s giving them half-off on one of the hottest devices on the market right now.

Even though it has made Pixel exclusive to Verizon, Google is selling the unlocked and off-contract version of its new flagship directly to customers. All they need to do is pay full price for the device and then move to T-Mobile which will give them $325 in bill credits.

Starting tomorrow, customers who have purchased their Pixel from Google or anywhere else can sign up for this offer. They will need to get on T-Mobile One and then give the carrier their proof of purchase via its validation site within 30 days. Once that’s done the carrier will give them 24 monthly credits of $13.55 per month.

“Don’t let the ‘exclusive’ advertisements fool you, the Pixel phone is tested and proven to be fantastic on our lightning fast network, and we want to help you get the best of both worlds! I’m a huge fan of what Google has done with the Pixel and now consumers can use it the way it should be used – with truly unlimited data on the fastest 4G LTE network in America!,” said T-Mobile CEO John Legere.

While many would have hoped that T-Mobile would start selling the Pixel directly, that’s not the case, but for those who don’t want to be on Verizon and would like to save some money in the process, this is surely the next best thing.
