Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke Will Be Joining The Star Wars Universe

emilia-clarkeIf you’re a fan of HBO’s Game of Thrones and the Star Wars franchise, you’ll be doubly pleased to learn that Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke will be joining the Star Wars universe. Clarke will be part of the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie, although her character name in the movie has yet to be revealed, or what role she will be playing.

According to the announcement on the Star Wars website, “StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.”

The movie will also be seeing Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover who are both cast as Han Solo and Lando Calrissian respectively. The movie is set for a released in 2018 and will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The movie is kind of a prequel to the Star Wars movies in a way and will show a young Han Solo and the adventures he was a part of prior to him being introduced in the main Star Wars storyline.

It also seems that we are getting quite a bit of Star Wars movies recently. For example at the end of this year, we can look forward to Rogue One, and next year we should be able to expect Star Wars: Episode VIII, and in 2018 the Han Solo movie. So, which of the three are you most excited for?
