McDonald’s Mobile Ordering Enters Testing

Have you longed for a faster and more efficient way to get your Big Mac fix? McDonald’s is finally joining the likes of Domino’s, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and Taco Bell to allow mobile ordering. This cuts down on the wait time for customers as they can order and pay ahead of time before picking up their order at the restaurant. McDonald’s has now reportedly started testing mobile ordering.

Business Insider reports that McDonald’s is getting ready to launch mobile order-and-pay functionality which will allow customers to order and pay for their food via their smartphones ahead of time.

You will have to wait for this functionality to arrive. The report says that McDonald’s is looking to launch mobile ordering in the United States by next year. International lead markets such as the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Australia will also get similar functionality next year.

McDonald’s spokeswoman Becca Hary told the scribe that the company expects this functionality to be available at up to 25,000 restaurants across the globe. McDonald’s is certainly late to this trend of enabling customers to order and pay ahead of time, but now that it’s finally jumping on the bandwagon, it’s only a matter of time before it goes live.
