We’re still far from the point when HTC is due to unveil a new flagship handset but the rumor mill doesn’t sit still. The latest brings some information about the purported specifications of HTC’s next flagship smartphone. Referred to as the HTC 11 because the previous flagship was called HTC 10, it’s claimed that the new flagship will feature a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The rumor suggests that the HTC 11 specs are going to include a 1440×2560 pixel resolution 5.5 inch display as well as the Snapdragon 835 processor from Qualcomm that the company recently announced.

It’s also claimed that the handset is going to feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. A 12 megapixel rear dual camera system has been mentioned as well, aside from an 8 megapixel front camera. Additional specifications might include a 3,700mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 as well as Android 7.0 Nougat.

None of this has been officially confirmed as yet so it can’t be said for sure how much of this is true. The handset is likely going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor given that it’s going to be the go-to chip for most flagship smartphones in 2017.

To be fair, 8GB of RAM and 256GB native storage seems a bit too good to be true. That’s the deal with rumors, you can’t really trust them, so it would be best to take this one with a grain of salt until there’s more evidence to support this theory.
