Pokemon Go was released in select markets earlier this year and it became an instant hit. The game has become a global phenomenon and continues to thrive even though the initial hype has died down. Updates for the game are in the pipeline and developer Niantic continues to expand it to more markets. It has confirmed that the Pokemon Go release in India is finally going to take place tomorrow.

Niantic has teamed up with 4G LTE carrier Reliance Jio to release Pokemon Go in India. Pokemon Go will be officially available for download in the country starting tomorrow. Players in the country will also be able to socialize with fellow players through an exclusive Pokemon Go Channel in Reliance Jio’s social messaging app JioChat.

Since Niantic has teamed up with a carrier to release Pokemon Go in the country, this means that countless Reliance Digital Stores will double as PokeStops and Gyms. These will be the locations where players will most likely find more Pokemon. The same goes for other partner locations in the country.

Pokemon Go has since impressive growth ever since it was released earlier this year. The game itself has been downloaded more than 500 million times. It wasn’t officially launched in India first but many who wanted to take it for a spin simply sideloaded the app on Android. iOS users without jailbroken iPhones were out of luck but they will now be able to officially play Pokemon Go as well.
