Samsung To Launch Personalized Smart TV Services At CES 2017

samsung-personalized-tvTVs in today’s modern age is more than just a screen to watch your shows on. They have also become hubs for all kinds of features and activities, such as games, web surfing, and so on. However come CES 2017, Samsung expects to take things to the next level by introducing personalized smart TV services.

According to Samsung, these personalized services come in the form of “Sports”, “Music”, and “TV Plus”. Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics is quoted as saying, “At Samsung, one of our top priorities is ensuring that we are closely in tune with what consumers want and need from their smart devices and electronics. With that in mind, we continue to innovate our Smart TV offering in order to provide the content experiences that our customers have come to know and expect from Samsung.”

With the Sports service, Samsung will display information like information on when their favorite teams are playing, along with scores if there is a game running at the moment. The Music service will also allow users to identify songs from live TV or from music programs, and also play them back if they please through partners such as Spotify, iHeartRadio, Napster, Deezer, Sirius XM, Vevo, Melon and Bugs.

Last but not least is the TV Plus service which according to Samsung, will offer up “premium” content services. Samsung says that “customers will no longer have to wait for cable services to offer marathon sessions of their favorite TV shows and can watch immediately just by turning on a TV Plus channel.”
