Clips Is Apple’s New App For Making Viral Videos

Apple today announced the launch of a new iOS app called Clips. The app is meant to enable iPhone and iPad users to make short video clips that they can then post on social media networks in a bid to have them go viral and earn internet fame. The idea with Clips is to help users make a polished, well-produced short video clip that’s meant for sharing across online platforms.

Clips also comes with a new feature called Live Tiles which allows users to create animated captions and titles by using just their voice. They can add fun effects like comic book filters, speech bubbles, shapes, and full-screen animated posters to add more flair to the videos. The Live Tiles feature currently has support for 36 different languages.

The app lets users create multi-clip videos on iPhone and iPad without timelines, tracks, or editing tools that might be difficult to understand for the average user. All they need to do is touch and hold a single button to shoot live video and photos or add them from the Library.

They can then add shapes, emoji, text, filters, and more to make it pop. The app has dozens of music tracks to choose from which automatically adjust to match the length of the video. Once done, the videos made with Clips can be shared directly to social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Vimeo.

Clips is going to be available as a free download on the App Store starting next month.
