Galaxy S8 Receives Important Certification Ahead Of Launch

The Galaxy S8 is due to be unveiled later this month at an event in London and New York. Samsung has gradually started building hype for its upcoming flagship smartphone. The company has even started running ads for the Galaxy S8 in its home country of South Korea possibly in response to the great start that the LG G6 has had. As it gears up to launch its new flagship, the Galaxy S8 continues to clear its pre-launch hurdles so that it’s ready to hit the market soon after launch.

New consumer electronics devices have to be certified by certain regulatory bodies in countries across the globe. If they don’t receive that certification the companies can’t sell their new products in that particular market.

As many of you might be well aware by now that China is one of the most lucrative smartphone markets in the world. Even though Samsung continues to face mounting competition in the country from local smartphone manufacturers it can’t miss out on potential sales in the country.

The Galaxy S8 has now received its China Compulsory Certification (CCC) which is required alongside a certification from TENAA which is China’s equivalent of the FCC. The Galaxy S8 has already received its FCC certification in the United States.

Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S8 in most markets across the globe on the very same day, which is currently believed to be April 21st.
