Samsung And Qualcomm Reportedly Working On Galaxy S9 Already

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has only just been released but it seems that the rumor mill will keep churning out those rumors regardless of that. So far the Galaxy S8 has been met with positive reviews and high praises, and it looks like Samsung might not be wasting any time and could be getting the Galaxy S9 ready.

According to a report out of Korea, word has it that both Samsung and Qualcomm are reportedly working together on developing a new chip for the Galaxy S9, which presumably will be launched in 2018. The next-gen chip is rumored to be known as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which we guess will be the successor to this year’s Snapdragon 835, that is unless Qualcomm doesn’t release a slightly refreshed chip later in the year like they did with the Snapdragon 821 last year.

Samsung and Qualcomm have been working together for years, and despite Samsung using Exynos chips in some of the Galaxy S8 models, there are also Galaxy S8 variants that come with the Snapdragon 835. In any case not much is known about the Snapdragon 845 or the Galaxy S9 at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

However we can’t say that we would be surprised if the rumors were true, since we’re sure that the company could at the very least be in the exploratory stages.
