Naughty Dog announced in December last year that it was working on a standalone story chapter called Uncharted: The Lost Legacy which would be released for PlayStation 4 in the new year. Since then, the developer has provided more information about the new chapter without confirming when it’s going to be released. It has done that today. Naughty Dog today confirmed the Uncharted: The Lost Legacy release date.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone story that features characters from the main game and immerses players in a new story and new challenge. The Lost Legacy features Chloe Frazer, who first appeared in Uncharted 2, and Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4.

Naughty Dog has shared new footage and additional details about this game today aside from confirming its release date for North America and Europe.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will see Chloe and Nadine venture across India as they look for the fabled Tusk of Ganesh. The developer promises a deep narrative and complex character development experience in this new game. Uncharted:

The Lost Legacy is going to be released on August 22nd in North America and the very next day in Europe. The game is going to cost $39.99.

Sony recently confirmed that Naughty Dog’s PS2 classics Jak and Daxter will be coming to the PlayStation 4 later this year. Naughty Dog has decided to give a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4 to all those who pre-order The Lost Legacy at participating retailers.

Those who pre-order the game on the PlayStation Store will also receive an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy PS4 theme designed by Truant Pixel. Players who purchased the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack will get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as a digital download at launch but won’t receive any pre-order bonuses.
