It became apparent that Treyarch would soon officially confirm the fifth DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 after it was rated by the ESRB several days back. Treyarch today announced the launch of Zombie Chronicles for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It’s the fifth DLC for this game and it brings eight new maps instead of the five we’ve seen in previous DLCs.

All previous DLCs released for this game feature five maps so players get more bang for their buck with Zombie Chronicles as it features eight maps instead of the normal five.

As the name suggests, this downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 brings remastered zombie mode maps from all Call of Duty games that Treyarch has previously released.

From Call of Duty: World At War players get Shi No Numa, Verruckt, and Nacht Der Untoten. From Call of Duty: Black ops Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La and Moon have been added to this DLC. The zombie remaster of Origins from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is also included in this DLC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles is going to be released first for PlayStation 4 like all other DLCs before it on May 16th. It will be a month before the DLC is also released for players on Xbox One and PC. Treyarch is yet to confirm the price for this DLC but it’s likely going to cost $14.99 like the previous DLCs.
