Samsung Launches 5,100mAh Battery Pack For The Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ pack a relatively decent-sized battery. It’s not the biggest nor does it last the longest, but it gets the job done. However if you’re in the market for an external battery pack, you might be in luck as Samsung has since launched a 5,100mAh battery pack for the phone.

Now you might be wondering if there is any advantage to buying this particular battery pack versus another brand that could be potentially cheaper. The upside to this is that it supports fast charging, meaning that if your device has fast charging then you’ll be able to juice up considerably faster than if you were to use the standard 2A output, so that’s the advantage right there.

It will also use a USB-C port to connect to devices, although there will also be a USB-C to micro USB converter should you want to use it with a non USB-C device. The battery itself will charge via micro USB so you don’t need to go out and get yourself another USB-C cable or charger just for it.

In terms of pricing, the battery pack is decently priced at $60 so if you’d like to get your hands on it, you’ll be able to do so from Samsung’s website.
