Activision released a remastered version of one of the best Call of Duty games to date a few months back. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was not offered as a standalone title initially, but now the company confirmed that it can be purchased on its on. Activision has confirmed when the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release for PlayStation 4 is going to take place.

The remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare brings the same single-player story campaign and multiplayer maps as the original title which was released back in 2007. The graphics have obviously been improved.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was previously offered only bundled with certain editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, last year’s addition to this long-running franchise. The standalone version has not yet been released on any other platform.

Even though Activision has now confirmed that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release for PlayStation 4 is going to take place on June 27th for $39.99, it’s yet to confirm when the standalone title is going to be released for other platforms like Xbox One and PC.

It does say that “other platforms to follow” after the game is out on PlayStation 4 later this month, but doesn’t offer a hint as to when they will receive the game.
