Sony launched the Xperia XZ1 handset in the United States earlier this year. The handset was originally unveiled at the IFA 2017 conference last month. It was unveiled alongside the XZ1 Compact. Sony has now launched this handset in the country. Those who are interested can now pre-order the Xperia XZ1 Compact in the United States.

Just like its sibling, the Xperia XZ1 Compact can now be pre-ordered from Amazon. The retailer has the handset listing for $599.99. It’s a factory unlocked device with U.S. warranty.

The Xperia XZ1 Compact features a 4.6 inch HD IPS LCD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood that’s coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The handset also features a 19 megapixel Motion Eye rear camera that’s capable of recording super slow motion video.

One of the key selling points of this handset is that just like the Xperia XZ1, it also comes with Android 8.0 Oreo straight out of the box. There aren’t many devices on the market right now which can claim this so this certainly bodes well for both Sony handsets.

Sony recently said that next year’s smartphones are going to come with an entirely new design. If you’ve got bored of Sony’s existing design language, you might want to wait for a few months as the promises that great things are yet to come.

Amazon will start shipping the Xperia XZ1 Compact on October 4th.
