Sprint Starts Selling Essential Phone At Retail Stores

Andy Rubin’s new smartphone company Essential unveiled its first handset a few months back. Aptly called the Essential Phone, the handset was released weeks after its original release date. Essential is selling it directly to customers and it has chosen Sprint as its exclusive carrier partner for the handset. Starting today, Sprint is selling the Essential Phone at its retail stores across the nation.

Sprint was previously taking pre-orders for the Essential Phone and later started selling it to customers via the web. Essential has already been selling it via its own website from the very first day.

Retail availability at Sprint stores across the globe gives customers the opportunity to get their hands on the device before they decide whether or not they want to purchase it.

It’s going to go a long way in educating customers that there’s a new smartphone company on the block called Essential and that it’s selling its very first handset now.

Sprint is selling the Essential Phone with an 18 month lease for $29.17 per month. It can also be purchased for the full price of $699.99.

Those who want to purchase an unlocked variant of the Essential Phone should purchase it directly from Essential’s own website.
