Alleged Galaxy S9 Diagram Leaked, Hints At Slight Design Change

With all the excitement surrounding the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X out of the way, we suppose the next handset that many are anticipating will most likely be the Samsung Galaxy S9 which is due in 2018. This is because many are probably wondering what Samsung has up their sleeves that could trump Apple’s announcement.

The rumor mill for the Galaxy S9 has already begun, and the folks at Tech Droider have recently published several diagrams that are allegedly that of the Galaxy S9 and the S9+. We should point out that there’s no way to verify if these diagrams are the real deal, or if they’re simply fan-made images or mockups, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

However working under the assumption that it could be true, it seems that Samsung won’t be changing much in terms of design of the phone, save for the chin of the handset which appears to be much thinner than that of its predecessors, the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Apart from that it looks like there won’t be much changes made to it.

As for the rumored specs, it seems that the report is suggesting that we could be looking at facial recognition as a security feature. It also suggests that Samsung is still trying to get the under-display fingerprint scanner to work, and that if it does it could be moved to the back again. This is a bit of a hotly-debated rumored as there are some camps who believe that the front-mounted fingerprint sensor could debut in the Galaxy S9, while others don’t, but like we said given that it’s all rumors for now, do take it with a grain of salt.
