iPhone X Lock Screen Notification Previews Will Be Hidden By Default

Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone X last week. There’s significant demand for the new handset and reports still suggest that the quantities will be limited at launch as Apple’s suppliers struggle with yield issues related to crucial components. Now that the first hands-on with the iPhone X is out, it reveals some interesting details about the new handset, such as the fact that the iPhone X lock screen notifications preview will be hidden by default.

Apple has made a change to the notification settings for its new iPhone. The iPhone X is going to hide notification previews automatically on the lock screen by default. This option has been offered to iOS users for quite some time but users were required to enable it manually. Those who didn’t know such a feature existed couldn’t take advantage of it.

iPhone X users will have this feature enabled by default so their notification previews won’t shop any details on the lock screen. It’s only after their unlock the handset with Face ID that the notification preview will be displayed in its usual form.
