While the PS4 and Xbox One were powerful in their own right, given that these days we’re starting to see our media content moving towards 4K, it makes sense that gaming will also make that jump as well. This is why Sony and Microsoft have since launched the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X respectively.

So what about existing games that weren’t necessarily designed for these consoles in mind? While we can’t speak for all developers and all games, the good news is that Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will be set to get its PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements in an update to the game in December.

According to Bungie’s announcement, “On December 5, along with the launch of Curse of Osiris and Season Two, we’ll be deploying an update to Destiny 2 that will deliver stunning gameplay with high dynamic range (HDR) lighting to these new consoles. You’ll also see adaptive 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro and 4K on the Xbox One X.”

The developer doesn’t dive into any technical details as to what we can expect in terms of an enhancement, but given that the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X does support higher resolutions and are more powerful, we suppose at the very least we’ll be seeing some graphical improvements, so Destiny 2 players who own either console, this is an update you’ll want to keep an eye out for.
