LG V30 And V30+ Android 8.0 Oreo Beta Released

There are quite a few OEMs that are running Android 8.0 Oreo beta programs for their flagship smartphones. Samsung is one of them and Essential is another. LG has joined the list as well by releasing the Android 8.0 Oreo beta for the LG V30 and V30+. The beta update that LG’s rolling out for the V30 and V30+ weighs in at around 1.2GB. It brings all of the major updates that are included in the Android 8.0 Oreo release.

The only caveat is that LG is offering the Android 8.0 Oreo beta program in its home country of South Korea. The company hasn’t confirmed if it’s going to offer the beta program in other markets where the V30 and V30+ have been released.

What the beta program does show is that LG is definitely working on the Android 8.0 Oreo software for these handsets. The beta releases also signal progress so it may not be long before the company rolls out the Oreo update to all users across the globe.

LG has previously said that it’s aiming to release a stable version of the Oreo update for users in South Korea by next month. If it’s able to do that then LG V30 and V30+ owners in other markets across the globe may not have to wait for a lot of time before they get a taste of Oreo on their handsets.
