Razer Phone Goes On Sale In The US

It was first rumored earlier this year that Razer could be developing its own smartphone. The rumors picked up after the company acquired smartphone maker Nextbit. The company later confirmed that it was indeed working on its first smartphone. Razer unveiled the device a couple of weeks ago and customers in the United States can finally pick one up starting today.

Razer was actually supposed to launch the handset on November 17th but it’s available for purchase anyway. That’s the regular version, the special edition Razer Phone is already sold out. That isn’t surprising given that only 1,337 units of the special edition will ever be produced.

The Razer Phone is an Android-powered device that’s made for gamers. It has a 5.7 inch QHD IGZO LCD 120Hz display with Dolby Atmos audio. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor with 8GB of RAM.

It features dual 12 megapixel cameras at the back and comes with a 4,000mAh battery that provides ample juice. There are dual front-firing speakers and amplifiers as well as a DAC audio adapter.

Those who are interested in picking one up can head over to Razer’s online store and buy the handset. The Razer Phone costs $700. The handset will also be sold through Amazon and Microsoft Stores in a few days.
