Many of you will be aware that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the most popular and successful games of 2017. The title has been released for PC and Xbox One so far. It hasn’t arrived on the PlayStation 4. It’s an Xbox-exclusive for now but the possibility that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds for PS4 may arrive at some point in the future has not been ruled out by the CEO of the title’s developer PUBG Corp. Chang Han Kim.

Chang Han Kim said in a recent interview that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is going to be released for other platforms in the future. He also mentioned that since the game will be an Xbox One exclusive for some time, the developer is going to focus on completing the Xbox One version for now.

He was asked whether or not Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds for PS4 is ever going to be released to which he replied that “If we have the opportunity, the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform.”

It may take a while before the game arrives on the PlayStation 4 and it may not all be PUBG Corp.’s fault. Sony doesn’t offer an early access program for PS4 titles. This means that the PS4 version of this game will have to be fully completed before it can be launched on the console. On the other hand, the developer was able to bring the title to the Xbox One early because of the Game Preview program.

So while it can’t be said for sure whether it’s going to be this year or the next, there’s nothing stopping PUBG from being released for the PlayStation 4 in the future.
