Sony Unveils Trio Of Wireless In-Ear Headphones

[CES 2018] These days with smartphone makers starting to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack (there are still some holdouts, but we reckon it will become an eventuality), this means that smartphone users will probably need to start looking for wireless alternatives unless they don’t mind dealing with a bunch of dongles.

The good news is that at CES 2018, Sony has unveiled a trio of wireless in-ear headphones that ranges in price points, meaning that you should be able to find a pair that suits your budget. However if there is a feature that they all share, it is that they have an IPX4 rating, meaning that they are essentially sweat-resistant.

Starting with the WF-SP700N, these are a pair of “true” wireless earbuds, where they are completely devoid of any wires, so if you like wireless earbud concepts like the AirPods, then the WF-S700N might be for you. They are also the sports equivalent of last year’s WF-1000X, offer up to 3 hours on a single charge with a case that charges it two times more, and is priced at $180.

For those who prefer having a cable/wire, there is also the WI-SP600N that offers noise-cancelling technology and a battery life rated at 6 hours. It is priced at $150. Last but not least is the WI-SP500 which ditches noise-cancelling technology which in turn boosts its battery life to about 8 hours and is also the cheapest at $80.
