Shenmue III, the much-awaited crowdfunded title, was originally due to be released in December last year but that didn’t happen. Multiple delays have pushed back the title’s release considerably but the developers have now confirmed when this title will finally be available. Shenmue III is going to be released next year.

It has been a long time since the first two games in this series were launched and fans have been patiently waiting for the third installment to arrive. Whether or not Shenmue III will be able to live up to expectations remains to be seen.

Ys Net, the developers of this title, have confirmed that Shenmue III is going to be released on August 27th, 2019. It has only confirmed the release date at this point in time and hasn’t revealed any additional information about the title’s story.

A trailer has been revealed as well which sheds light on the prophecy yet again that Ryo and Ling Shenhua will go on a “rocky path” together. No further details about the story of this martial arts saga have been revealed.

Shenmue III is going to be released on PC and the PlayStation 4. There’s considerable hype surrounding this title, Ys Net did triple its original $2 million crowdfunding goal for the game after all.
