Chinese Carrier Hints That Apple’s 2018 iPhones Will Support Dual SIM

While most iPhone users are probably more than happy with a single SIM card slot, there are probably many who wouldn’t mind seeing it support dual SIM. There might be some who are holding back from buying it simply because there is no support for dual SIM, but that could change with 2018’s iPhone models.

In fact over in China, China Telecom has put out an ad for the upcoming iPhone in which as you can see in the image above, the carrier seems to be hinting that the iPhone could support dual SIM cards. Of course this is far from being an official confirmation and for all we know, China Telecom could simply be basing this ad on rumors.

However given that carriers are sometimes told information in advance to help them prepare marketing materials and to get their staff ready for sales, we wouldn’t be surprised if this was an accurate hint either. At the moment there is still a lot of questions surrounding the rumored dual SIM model.

This includes whether this will be applicable to all three iPhone models launched, or could it only be exclusive to the iPhone XS Plus, or the iPhone 9? There was also a rumor suggesting that it could be a China-exclusive feature. Either way we should find out soon enough come 12th of September, so check back with us then for the details.
