Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Officially Announced

Last year Samsung launched the Galaxy Book which was the company’s take and attempt to compete with Microsoft’s Surface tablets. We have heard rumors that a successor could be in the works and sure enough Samsung has since officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Windows tablet.

For those who are learning about the Galaxy Book for the first time, this is essentially a tablet with a keyboard that lets it double up as a laptop of sorts. Also given that the fact that it runs on Windows, it means that if you’d rather not use an Android tablet and want the full-fledged Windows experience, the Galaxy Book could be something worth taking a look at.

With the Galaxy Book 2, Samsung has included a Snapdragon 850 processor that will also support LTE connectivity so if you don’t have WiFi and don’t mind investing in an extra data plan, then the Galaxy Book 2 will support that. It will also feature a battery that Samsung boasts will last up to 20 hours, and an OLED display with a resolution of 2160×1440.

The device will also run Windows 10 with S Mode enabled out of the box, but users will have the option to upgrade to a “fuller” version of Windows for free if they’d prefer. As for pricing, the Galaxy Book 2 is priced at $1,000.
