The Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is joining the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 roster next week. EA has confirmed that Ewan McGregor’s Kenobi will arrive with two Appearances. The first is his default Jedi Master Appearance and the second is a robed costume which is quite similar to his later incarnation.

Kenobi is a master of defensive lightsaber combat and usage of the Force. James Arnold Taylor, a veteran of The Clone Wars animated series, will be voicing him in the game. EA says that it’s aiming for the likenesses of the real-life actors who played these characters. This is why Obi-Wan Kenobi has been modeled after Ewan McGregor’s portrayal in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Kenobi’s blocking skills are superior to any other Jedi in the game while he couples this near perfect defense with stamina and powerful, chained melee attacks. The Restrictive Mind Trick Ability will let players disrupt the target’s Abilities for a short time to outsmart them.

EA has confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi will be available in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on November 28th with the Battle of Geonosis update. The character not only trained Luke Skywalker but also trained and fought alongside his father Anakin Skywalker. It’s this chapter of his life that has primarily shaped his representation in this game. Anakin Skywalker is also coming to Battlefront 2 in February next year.
