128GB Pocophone F1 Variant Now Being Offered By Xiaomi

Xiaomi made heads turn earlier this year with the launch of the first smartphone of its Poco sub-brand. Its first device, the Poco F1, featured a Snapdragon 845 processor while having a price tag of $300. That’s the same chipset you get in devices like the Galaxy S9. Xiaomi is now offering another variant of this device.

This is actually a new variant of the Pocophone F1 Armoured Edition. This particular model was previously available with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM only. Xiaomi is now offering it in India with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM.

The model that Xiaomi was selling initially cost over $400. This new variant makes the Armoured Edition a bit more affordable as it costs just under $350. While Xiaomi has detailed the markets where the Pocophone F1 will be released, this particular model seems to be limited to India only for now.

Another reason why the Armoured Edition commands a slight premium is that it has DuPont Kevlar material at the back instead of the standard polycarbonate. This material is more durable but it obviously adds a bit to the overall cost of the device. However, the material can be prone to smudges so perhaps you’d be better off without it if you’d rather have the back of your device looking pristine.
