DC Universe Arrives On Amazon Fire TV

The DC Universe streaming service was launched a few months back. Not to be confused with the DC Extended Universe, the streaming service is billed as an “immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans.” Membership includes a wide variety of content from the DC archives in addition to original series. The streaming service has now picked up support for a major connected TV platform. It’s available for Amazon’s Fire TV starting today.

DC Universe subscribers will now be able to access the service using a Fire TV device. They will be able to stream classic TV shows and films, original live action and animated series, original animated movies, digital comic books, and a lot more.

It’s immediately accessible from the Fire TV Appstore. A subscription to DC Universe costs $7.99 per month or $74.99 per year. Amazon Fire TV support means that it’s now available on all major connected TV platforms. DC Universe is already available on Apple TV, Android TV, and Roku media players.

That’s in addition to the iOS and Android apps that have been available for quite some time now. DC says that it’s going to add support for more platforms “soon.” This could suggest that the service may also be released on consoles and smart TVs.
