Ed Boon Denies Alleged Mortal Kombat 11 Leaked Roster

The problem when Mortal Kombat 11 was announced wasn’t so much the announcement, but the lack of details. Save for showing off a couple of characters in the trailer and its potentially new graphics and engine, not much else is known about the game such as its features or its roster of characters for that matter.

There have been some leaks that have suggested who we might be able to expect, but it turns out that maybe some of the leaks might not be 100% accurate. NetherRealm’s Ed Boon recently responded to a tweet in which a gamer showed him the alleged leaked list of characters that would make up the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

In Boon’s response, he basically laughed off the alleged leak claiming that when the real roster has been released, we’ll see how different it is from the leak. Now to be fair the supposed leaked roster contains characters that we would expect from every Mortal Kombat title, such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and so on, but whether or not the rest will be part of the roster remains to be seen.

Either way a more official and detailed announcement is currently set for the 17th of January, 2019 which means that we won’t have to wait much longer to find out who will be part of the roster (although Todd McFarlane seems to have previously confirmed that Spawn could be part of it).
