Pixel 3 And Pixel 3 XL ‘Lite’ May Launch On Verizon In Spring 2019

Multiple reports have claimed that Google has “Lite” models of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in development. It appears that the company will be launching them early next year. A new report claims that Google is going to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Lite on Verizon in Spring 2019.

AndroidPolice reports that a source familiar with the company’s plans has informed them that Google will be launching two new Pixel smartphones on Verizon in early spring next year. The precise launch date for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Lite is not yet known.

Google hasn’t released a mid-range smartphone since the Nexus 5X which came out in 2015 for $379. Not much is known about their specs and features but rumors suggest that they may feature a Snapdragon 670 or 710 chip with 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 12 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front cameras, and a headphone jack. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Lite are also expected to feature a 5.5 inch and 6 inch display respectively.

No word as yet on how much the Lite variants of the Pixel 3 handsets are going to cost. It’s also unclear if Google will be selling unlocked variants of these handsets or if they will just be sold through Verizon. Google has not yet commented on the matter.
