Microsoft Is Going Big For Xbox At E3 2019

E3 is one of the biggest gaming trade shows of the year and Microsoft tends to have a major presence at the event with the Xbox. The company’s Executive Vice President of Gaming Phil Spencer said that there was a discussion internally about whether Microsoft should go big at E3 2019 or tone things down a little to save some money? “No, we’re going to do our thing and we’re going to go and be as big at E3 as we’ve ever been,” he said.

Spencer says that the company is still having discussions about how much it’s going to reveal about near-term and long-term games. He added that Microsoft has great content for its E3 2019 event and that it’s going to talk about the future of its gaming plans.

His comments were made in a podcast with Director of Programming of Xbox Live Larry Hryb. Spencer also mentioned that Playground Games and Rare are working on new games but obviously didn’t reveal what they are. These games may not be shown off until a year or so. Rumors have suggested that Fable 4 is under development at Playground but there has been no such confirmation from the developer itself.

It will surely be interesting to see what Microsoft ends up announcing at its E3 event. Many will be expecting some sort of announcement about the next-generation Xbox console that we keep hearing rumors about. Microsoft may also reveal more details about its Project xCloud game streaming service.
