Facebook’s New ‘Secret Crushes’ Feature Makes You Feel Like You’re Back In High School

Last year, Facebook introduced Facebook Dating which is pretty much as the name suggests. Given how Facebook already has such a huge established user base, it made sense that they would try to leverage it in this manner. Now it seems that the company is rolling out new features to its Dating section.

Dubbed “Secret Crushes”, once again this feature is pretty much as its name implies. This is a feature that lets you express interest in up to nine friends at a time. You will also be able to see others who might have an interest in you. This is for those who are part of Facebook Dating where they’ll be able to express and receive interest from their friends, so if you have long had a crush on one of your friends, you will soon be able to let them know.

This isn’t a particularly groundbreaking feature as we have seen how some other dating apps have similar features, where you can show interest in another user without necessarily having to send a message. It’s actually a pretty useful feature and it can help get the ball rolling. Unfortunately, Facebook Dating is still very limited in terms of its availability.

The feature is only available in a handful of countries for users aged 18 or older. It is unclear when Facebook plans on rolling it out to more countries, so for now, Secret Crushes will also be rather limited.
