Adobe Premiere Rush is essentially a trimmed version of its Premiere Pro and Audition tools that are meant for serious video editors. The company first released the Premiere Rush app for iOS, Windows, and Mac late last year. It said at that time that the app will eventually be released for Android. Adobe Premiere Rush for Android is finally rolling out today.

Adobe has created Premiere Rush to provide mobile users with advanced video editing tools. The idea is that the app should be able to fulfill the needs of those who just want to make casual edits to their footage but when the need arises, could make some proper edits as well.

So while the app is based on the same technologies that you’ll find on the professional grade tools like Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush is much easier to use so it’s great for making edits on the fly.

Do bear in mind that the Android version isn’t going to run on all devices. The app is actually compatible with fairly recent smartphones only. As long as you have a handset like the Galaxy S9 or the OnePlus 6T, you’ll be fine. Adobe Premiere Rush offers full access with a $9.99 per month plan or a subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud. The free version only lets users export up to three projects.
