Konami wants in on the mini console action as well. The company has announced the launch of its TurboGrafx-16 Mini. The idea here is the same as we have already seen on other retro console launches. It’s a mini console which will come pre-loaded with a handful of titles. Six have been confirmed so far for the TurboGrafx-16 Mini which will be launched as the PC Engine Mini in Japan and as the PC Engine Core Grafx in Europe.

Konami’s mini console is going to have support for a five-way multiplayer adapter in addition to its two USB ports for controllers. All versions of the system will have some standard features such as quick saves, virtual simulated CRT scanlines as well as the original 4:3 aspect ratio.

The games that have been confirmed for it so far include Ninja Spirit, R-Type, New Adventure Island, Dungeon Explorer, Alien Crush, and Ys Book I & II. The other versions of this system do have different games.

Konami has confirmed that the PC Engine Mini will include titles like Dracula X: Rondo of Blood and Super Star Soldier. So your experience with it will vary depending on where you get this mini console from. Konami says that it will confirm pricing and release information soon.
