Konami’s Castlevania is probably one of the more popular and more recognizable RPG games around. It was popular enough for Netflix to commission several seasons worth of animation, so it’s not surprising that it has also found its way onto mobile. Now it looks like Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls has been announced for Apple Arcade.

For those who are wondering why does this game sound familiar, it is because Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls was actually originally announced in 2018. It was eventually soft launched in Canada in 2019 before it was delisted, which had some wondering about the fate of the game. In case you were interested in trying it, it looks like Apple will be bringing it back.

However, since the game is only on Apple Arcade, you will need to have a subscription to play it. This might seem like a bad thing, but since games on Apple Arcade are free of ads and also microtransactions, it will be less annoying and you can just focus on the game itself instead of worrying whether or not you should spend money on in-app purchases.

There is no word on when the game will be launching, and the listing on Apple Arcade simply says it is coming soon. In the meantime, you can check out some of the game’s footage in the video above.
