Even though HTC smartphones are not in the limelight recently – they have managed to unveil EXODUS 1S (the budget alternative to its first crypto phone EXODUS).

It happens to be the first-ever mobile device with Full Node support for Bitcoin. In other words, you can relay, validate, and confirm bitcoin transactions using the phone. Of course, with a personal device, you can ensure better privacy and security in the network.

It features a decent hardware configuration. The specifications include a 5.7 inch HD display powered by a 3000 mAh battery. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 is a budget chipset to power up the device coupled with 4 Gigs of RAM.

In addition, it features a 13 MP primary camera and a 13 MP front camera. Oddly enough, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. You can learn more about the specification on its official website.

If you are going to store a full bitcoin ledger on this phone, you might want to consider an SD card of 400 GB as HTC suggests.

If not, the presence of a headphone hack along with all the basic functionalities should make this a perfect budget cryptophone.

It is available to order for just 219 Euros on its official online store – however, you cannot get it with real money yet. Just like the original EXODUS, they might let you buy it with real money.

It is interesting to see HTC introducing some potentially useful smartphones for the next big thing (blockchain). What do you think?
