Sprint’s Call Screener App Shows Callers Names Even If Not In Your Contact List

These days due to the sheer number of robocalls, spam, and scam calls, we wouldn’t blame you if you’re hesitant to answer a phone call from a number that you’re not familiar with. However, if you’re a Sprint customer, then you might be interested in checking out a new app by the company called Call Screener.

As the name suggests, this is an app that can screen your calls and will even attempt to display the name of the caller even if they are not in your contact list. This means that if a company/business calls you, their name should show up so that you at least have an idea who it is and whether or not you want to take their call.

It will also identify calls that might be fraud, spam, and also robocalls, letting you safely ignore those calls. According to Doug Smith, Sprint vice president of product marketing and product innovation, “Sprint Call Screener Basic service is an easy and convenient way to combat this growing annoyance and to filter out high-risk, unwanted calls – all at no cost to our customers.”

The Basic version of the app will identify calls from numbers associated with scams and fraudsters, but if you want more comprehensive features like identifying callers who aren’t in your contact list, you will need to subscribe to the Call Screener Plus program that will cost $2.99 per line per month.
