Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max Loses Out To The OnePlus 8T In Blind Camera Test

For the past few years, tech YouTuber MKBHD has run a blind camera test at the end of the year to see which phone takes photos that the general public seems to appreciate. This year is no different, although it seems that it might be rather embarrassing for Apple because none of their smartphones made it through the first round.

Not even the company’s top-of-the-line flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max, which lost out to the OnePlus 8T which is priced a lot cheaper. Given how much Apple touted the camera improvements and changes, it seems that when it comes to the blind camera test, the general public seems to prefer the OnePlus 8T over the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Now, it should be noted that this does not mean that the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s camera is bad, or that these phones take higher-quality photos. As MKBHD has pointed out in the past, most of the time photos taken by our smartphones are uploaded to social media where people might not necessarily zoom in to the details or analyze its quality.

Plus there is also compression and how each phone processes the final image. However, it is interesting to see which phones have come out on top, so if you have some time to spare, it might be worth checking out the video above.
