A lot of PC makers allow users to customize their components to a certain degree, but usually trying to make modifications yourself after that is a bit tricky. However, Razer wants to help gamers with that issue and have finally released its Tomahawk modular PC system where it is priced starting at $2,400.

The company had initially unveiled the Tomahawk earlier this year during CES 2020 where it sports a small form factor design for those who want a smaller footprint. However, unlike more traditional PC builds, the Tomahawk is built around Intel’s NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element card that contains the processor, memory, and SSD storage.

In this case, the base model comes with an Intel Core i9-9980HK processor that’s accompanied by 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and an additional 2TB of HDD storage. There is also an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. However, for those who want additional storage or RAM, you can opt to change those in case it doesn’t meet your requirements.

In the past, Razer has attempted to create a modular PC via Project Christine, but it seems that component makers weren’t quite on board with the idea at that time. In any case, the Tomahawk seems to be a more pared down version of Razer’s ambitions, but it’s a good start nonetheless.
