Google’s Next Pixel Phone Could Be Announced In June

It’s almost a guarantee that Google is working on a new Pixel phone (or phones) that they plan to launch this year, but the question is when? According to leakster Jon Prosser, he believes that a new Pixel announcement is slated for the 11th of June, 2021, which is admittedly a rather odd date.

This is because in the past, Google has typically scheduled their Pixel phones for an announcement in the later part of the year instead of mid-year. However, you could also make an argument for the Pixel 3a which was actually announced in May 2019, while the Pixel 4a also made a slightly earlier debut compared to the Pixel 5 in August.

That being said, June is also roughly around the time Google plans its I/O event, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they launched it during the event. However, this brings us to our next question, which is which Pixel phone will Google launch? There have been rumors of a Pixel 5a whose specs are less than ideal.

There have been some rumors about a higher-end Pixel 6, and let’s not forget the rumored foldable Pixel. Whether these phones will debut at a later date or on the 11th of June remains to be seen, so maybe take this report with a healthy dose of skepticism for now.
