On average the batteries we’re seeing in smartphones these days tend to range from around 4,500mAh to 5,000mAh. Anything larger would be a bit of a rarity, which means that for the most part, our phones are usually good for about a day’s worth of use before they run out of juice, but that won’t be a problem for Doogee’s latest smartphone.

Doogee might not necessarily be a brand most people would think of when it comes to phones, but the company’s new S97 Pro could be worth checking out if battery life is important to you. This is because the handset is packing a massive 8,500mAh battery which means that it could potentially last you for a couple of days.

In addition to its massive battery, the S97 Pro also comes with a laser rangefinder. For those unfamiliar, this is meant to help measure distances which might be useful for construction and renovation works. The actual rangefinder can be bought in a hardware store for relatively cheap, but in case you don’t want to carry around multiple gadgets.

Based on these features, it is clear that the S97 Pro is catered towards certain types of users, so it’s not surprising that other features include a rugged design and also the ability to withstand extreme temperatures. As for the specs, it’s not the most impressive phone we’ve seen with a 6.4-inch 720p display, a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a quad camera setup on the back. The phone is priced at $330 so if you’re looking for something cheap with a long-lasting battery, maybe this could be it.
