Breath Of The Wild Remastered In 8K Looks Like A Completely Different Game

When the Nintendo Switch was launched, Nintendo also launched The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is arguably one of the most popular Nintendo games that has been released in recent times. However, it has been about four years since the launch of the game which does make it look a bit dated.

That being said, Germany-based modder Digital Dreams has put together a video that shows off what the game could look like if it had been upscaled to 8K resolution while introducing the ray tracing GI BeyondallLimits reshade. The end result is such a beautiful-looking game that looks nothing like its predecessor.

While the original Breath of the Wild looks good, this changes the entire tone and look of the game which looks just as rad. This is most definitely not the direction that Nintendo is taking with the Breath of the Wild sequel, which is currently set for a 2022 launch, but one can always hope, right?

That being said, getting this version up and running might not be that simple. This is because in order to give it the upscaling and ray tracing treatment, the game had to run through an emulator on the PC, and also it seems that you will need rather high-end hardware to pull it off. If you can’t be bothered, then just watch the video above for a 9 minute demo.
