Samsung’s New M8 Smart Monitor Will Match Your Mac Setup

If there’s one thing clever about Apple’s designs is that they’ve all been designed in such a way that they all seem to complement each other really well. Like the newly launched Studio Display that would look at home next to the Mac Studio or one of Apple’s MacBook Air or MacBook Pro laptops.

But the problem with Apple products is that they’re pricey, and the Studio Display is no exception starting at $1,600. If you want an Apple-ish aesthetic but don’t want to pay the Apple tax, Samsung’s new M8 Smart Monitors might be worth checking out because honestly, it looks pretty good.

The monitors were initially announced at CES 2022 and is now finally available for purchase where it is priced at $730, which is honestly not too bad of an asking price. It will feature a 32-inch display, larger than the Studio Display, and offers a 4K resolution which is lower than the Studio Display’s 5K, but if you’re fine with 4K then this is not an issue.

As the name suggests, this is a smart display which means that it offers features like the ability to play Netflix natively even if you don’t have a device connected to it. It also supports other streaming services and even apps like Google Docs, and there is even AirPlay 2. The display also comes with support for HDR10+ and there is a USB-C interface and it can even support digital assistants like Bixby or Amazon Alexa.
