Huawei has officially launched its flagship Pura 80 series, which includes the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and the premium-tier Pura 80 Ultra. Building on the Pura 70 lineup, the new models introduce enhanced performance, upgraded camera systems, and improved durability. All devices share a metal-glass construction, IP69 certification, and second-generation Kunlun Glass protection.
The highlight of the series is the Pura 80 Ultra, which debuts with a 50 MP 1-inch RYYB main sensor, offering a wide dynamic range of up to 16 EV, optical image stabilization (OIS), and a movable periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.7x to 9.4x optical zoom. The periscope lens uses a 50 MP sensor that shifts to 12.5 MP at maximum zoom to retain quality. The camera system also includes a 40 MP ultrawide lens, a 13 MP ultrawide front camera, and a multispectral sensor to enhance color capture.
The Pura 80 Ultra features a 6.8-inch OLED display with 2848 x 1276 resolution, a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, and brightness up to 3,000 nits. It supports stereo sound and runs HarmonyOS 5.1. Under the hood, it has 16 GB RAM, 512 GB or 1 TB storage, and is believed to be powered by the Kirin 9020 chip, offering a 36% performance boost over the Pura 70 Ultra.
Its 5,700 mAh battery supports 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, satellite communication, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
